Babes in the Wood – Auditions

✨ Following our open script reading on 26th August we’re excited to announce two audition evenings

Venue – the Lecture Hall, George Lane, Loddon — both starting at 7.30pm:

💡 You may audition for more than one part, but choose wisely. A clear first choice — or a strong first choice plus a backup — often gives you the best chance of securing a role.

Marian – A young woman with a strong moral compass, a quick wit and a quietly rebellious streak

Sam – One of the babes

Millie – One of the babes

Puddlefoot – A duck, fluffy, flapping, easily offended, waddles with purpose and quacks with attitude

Sheriff – Smug, sharp-tongued, power hungry; a sneering bully

Pickle – Henchman to Sheriff – dim, eager, accident prone; loyal muscle with half a brain and twice the enthusiasm

Pudding – Henchman to Sheriff – dim, eager, accident prone; loyal muscle with half a brain and twice the enthusiasm

Griselda – Gaunt, cackling, sharp-eyed; a hungry witch with a taste for trouble and children

Robin Hood – Dashing, quick-witted, noble; a charming outlaw with a heroes heart and a rogues grin

Friar Tuck – Jolly, wise, food-loving; a big laugh, a bigger heart, and full of mischief

Little John – Big, steady, good-humoured; a gentle giant with a heart of gold

Alan – Tuneful, quick with a rhyme; a merry minstrel, who doesn’t always get it right

Will – Eager, sharp, loyal to Robin

Lord Goodheart (last scene only) – A fearless knight, dignified, gentle, fair-minded, a noble soul
