A fast moving fun show
A show for all ages – on and off the stage – is the winning formula of this year’s Loddon pantomime.
The Loddon pantomime players production of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, which continues tomorrow, Friday and Saturday at the Lecture Hall has a mixture of youth and experience in its cast.
And the action varies from the teddy bears picnic, which had children wide-eyed, to jokes with a local flavour which encouraged adult applause.
It is a good show with plenty of color and fun, and thank and fast moving too, thanks mainly to Derek Loyd as tree warden Cyril Clump, Maureen Larkin as Gelda Locks, and Melvin Franklin as her boyfriend Francis.
And 11-year-old Nicola Holland really looked the part as Goldilocks. She could have been plucked straight from a picture in a children’s book of fairy tales and her diction was clear and expressions good.
But this was very much a team effort by the cast of 29 and the backstage crew.
